Agile Tools provides comprehensive platform management capabilities to set up and organize your company structure. Configure users, teams, organizational units, and value units to create the foundation for your OKR practice.
(Re)think how you begin your OKR journey. Not every team is an A team.

Users

Manage platform access and user accounts with flexible administration options.

Adding & Editing Users

  • Unlimited users (does not count for billing) - Invite users by email - Add users without notifying them - Admin privileges for inviting others

User Management

  • Assign users to teams - Set job positions - Configure permissions - Manage access levels

Organizational Units

Build your company’s organizational structure to support goal cascading and alignment.

Creating & Editing Org Units

  • Define org units for employee grouping - Create goals at the organizational level - Built-in types: branch, department, division - Define custom org unit types

Organizational Structure

  • Optional head (manager) per unit - Associate Value Units to org units - Multilevel hierarchy support - Visual structure navigation

Why Create Organizational Units?

There are two primary reasons to create an organizational structure in Agile Tools:
  1. Employee Grouping: Every employee is typically assigned to one organizational unit
  2. Goal Creation: You must have an org unit defined if you want to create OKRs at the organizational level

Value Units

Value Units are umbrella containers for products, projects, services, and other value-generating entities.

Creating & Editing Value Units

  • Define products, projects, or services - Create hierarchical structures - Associate teams to Value Units - Link to Organizational Units

Value Unit Types

  • Define custom Value Unit types in Settings - Multilevel structure supported - Flexible categorization - Progressive OKR adoption

Value Unit Configuration

Each Value Unit can be configured with:
  • Associated Teams: One or more teams working on the Value Unit
  • Organizational Ownership: Link to one or more Organizational Units
  • Custom Types: Products, projects, services, or your own definitions
  • Hierarchy: Parent-child relationships for complex structures

Teams

Teams are first-class citizens in Agile Tools, designed for modern cross-functional collaboration.

Creating & Editing Teams

  • Team is a first-class concept - Not just a group from one department - Name and team lead assignment - 1-12 team members

Cross-Functionality

  • View job positions of team members - Quickly navigate to team’s current OKR - Circular and table views - Observe team composition

Team Structure

Each team in Agile Tools includes:
  • Team Name: Unique identifier for the team
  • Team Lead: Designated leader for the team
  • Members: 1 to 12 team members
  • Value Units: Products they build, projects they run, or services they offer
Teams are designed to be cross-functional. The team detail view reveals the job positions of all team members, helping you understand the skills and roles within each team.
