# Product Managers FAQ

Common questions from Product Managers about OKRs and Value Units in Agile Tools.

> **Can I set OKRs on a product without assigning teams?**
>
> Yes. Value Units can have OKRs independent of team assignments. However,
> connecting teams helps with alignment and makes it clear who contributes to
> achieving the OKRs.

> **How do product OKRs relate to Sprint Goals?**
>
> Product OKRs are typically **quarterly** while Sprint Goals are **2-4 weeks**.
> Sprint Goals should contribute to achieving Key Results. Agile Tools
> integrates with Scrum practices — see [Agile Leaders: EBM
> Integration](https://docs.agile-tools.io/en/leadership/agile-leaders/ebm-integration.md) for details.

> **Can multiple products share the same OKR?**
>
> Not directly. Each OKR belongs to one scope (Team, Value Unit, or Org Unit).
> However, you can **align** OKRs across products — one product's OKR can
> reference another's as a parent or related goal.

> **Who can create Value Units?**
>
> By default, users with the Product Manager role or Administrators. Your
> organization may have custom permissions configured. See [Administrator:
> Permissions](https://docs.agile-tools.io/en/admin/permissions.md).

> **What metrics should I use for product Key Results?**
>
> Focus on **outcome metrics**, not output metrics: ✅ Customer satisfaction
> (NPS, CSAT) ✅ Adoption rates, engagement metrics ✅ Revenue, conversion rates
> ✅ Quality metrics (crash rate, defect rate) ❌ Features shipped ❌ Story
> points completed ❌ Number of releases

> **Can I import OKRs via API?**
>
> Yes. See the [Developer API](https://docs.agile-tools.io/en/developer/api/overview.md) for programmatic
> access to OKRs, Value Units, and metrics.
